OBSOLESCENCE

It is hard
when life does not go
as innocence planned
but plans make us fools
and tie up free hands
all these foundations
to keep us in place
pencil book sketches
that time can erase
Obsolescence
of family and friends
replacing innocence
a means to an end
it is painful
to lose
what is real
but plans have a way
of missing
what they steal
the best laid plans
like bottles and cans
redeemed by dealers
with invisible hands
