ANIMALS

I wonder 
how Animals feel
when we die
maybe depends
on how hard we tried
to give them a life
of comfortable days
food, pets, and shelter
and soft loving praise
I bet they feel 
sorrow, confusion, and pain
for those who were
gentle, kind, and humane
